CARES provides a number of services to people with disabilities:

Assessment

Our assessment services are designed to understand an individual’s strengths and areas of support. Assessments can be conducted online or in-person, including a family intake session, testing sessions, a final report and a results meeting. Fees for assessment services are calculated on a sliding scale.

  • Comprehensive education evaluation

  • Language and communication assessment
  • Autism screening
  • Developmental disability screening
  • ADHD screening

 

Intervention

CARES provides services to support individuals with disabilities to thrive at home, school and in the community.

  • After-school tutoring: Small-group evidence-based reading tutoring from expert tutors
  • Applied behavior analysis: Individualized intervention for behavioral challenges, communication, independent living, employment and social skills

 

Training and Professional Development

Throughout the year, there are online and face-to-face workshops and professional development for families, teachers and related service providers. Sign up for our upcoming training!

Summer Parent Workshop - This free, four-week online workshop gives parents strategies for supporting their children with disabilities at home, school and the community. All sessions will be held via Zoom from 7-8 pm. Join us for one or all of our sessions!

Individualized Education Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans

CARES provides free, quality review services of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). Our comprehensive review comes with a report of the strengths and areas of improvement of your child’s IEP and BIP.
